Sandy Smale – Community Relationships
Long time Port Credit resident Sandy Smale is the Community Relationships Developer for Lakeshore Corridor Community team and has retired. She has worked tirelessly to assist those in need in the community and is always willing to lend a hand when needed.

Sandy has been a community volunteer for over 20 years and holds Southside Shuffle Jazz and Blues Festival dear to her heart. In 2011 she will celebrate her 10th year as a Team Leader. In the Fall of 2010 she became one of the first of three inductees into the SSS Volunteer Hall of Fame.

In 2010 Rotary Mississauga honoured Sandy with a Paul Harris Fellow Award, the highest level of achievement given by the Rotary International for community work.

Paddle boats were out in full force on the Credit River today (August 27th, 2011) for the annual Paddle for the People.
Teams of two hit the water near the Port Credit Legion to not only raises funds for the Lakeshore Corridor Community Team — a non-profit community group that supports individuals in need from the Port Credit, Lorne Park, Clarkson and Lakeview areas — but also have a chance at winning the commemorative trophy.
Sponsored by businesses and members of the community, teams were required to raise $275 to register.
The fee included a barbecue banquet dinner, live entertainment and a chance to win prizes.
